What to Bring:
• Digital Camera, extra lens if SLR (single lens reflex)
• Digital Media Card(s) for your camera. PLEASE bring a blank card…no previous photos on the card. You can plan on taking at least 100 photos in an individual session so have a card of appropriate size.
• The instruction manual that came with your camera
• Laptop computer (please let me know in advance if you use a MAC)
• Tripod and cable release
• Digital Media Card Reader: These cost usually under $20. and have several slots that can accept different media cards for copying your photos to your computer. We will use Picasa (free download from Google) software for editing your photos that we will all use in class during the weekend. You can remove it from your computer if you choose after the class, but everyone who has used it says that this is one of the BEST things they learned in class.
• Blank CD-RW to copy material from instructor and to save your files. This CD is different than the kind you just copy music to...please note that the label will say CD-RW...Read-Write, meaning you can put photos on this CD and copy them somewhere else, erase things, etc.

FYI:
Magic Hours - when the light is low in the sky you have better natural lighting for shooting photographs.
